Biography
Dr. Anastasiia Grynko is responsible for the module Intercultural Competence in the Bachelor's programs Business Psychology and Business Administration at HSLU Business. The Module is focused in dealing with values and differences at the workplace and in (intecultural) marketing.
She worked in global marketing research (focus on brand localization - Eastern Europe) at Synovate and at the PR agency Weber Shandwick Group (focus on reputation audits and management). She studied Sociology (BA) and Journalism (MA) and earned her PhD in Digital Communication (summa cum laude) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Anastasiia conducted research, developed trainings and lectured in the area of applied corporate communication, journalistic and social media at the School of International and Public Affairs (Columbia University, USA), Institute for Methods (University of Göttingen, Germany), and the Mohyla School of Journalism (Ukraine). From 2020 until 2023, she co-lectured crisis communication at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Computer Science.
Her latest empirical research focuses on cases in crisis communication and digital disinformation campaigns in Switzerland.
Anastasiia is a member of the Swiss Association for Crisis Communication (VKK), the Swiss Association for Communication and Media Research (SGKM), and the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR Switzerland).
