Biography
Thomas Aregger graduated in Fine Arts at the Lucerne School of Art and Design in 1996, where he co-founded the school’s exhibition space Erfrischungsraum. Since then he has been working as a freelance artist in Lucerne. His works were exhibited in various solo and group shows in Lucerne and its surroundings. In 2001 Thomas Aregger became member of the workshop and teaching staff at the Lucerne School of Art and Design. During his teaching he started engaging with the didactical method Problem-Based Learning (PBL). As an expert on PBL he encourages the dissemination and implementation of the method throughout the Lucerne School of Art and Design. Between 2007 and 2011 he also taught PBL at the University of Teacher Education, Lucerne (PHLU). Since 2006 Thomas Aregger is head of the Foundation Course in Art and Design.
