Biography
Vanessa Zallot is a scientific associate at the Department Design, Film and Art at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and a doctoral student at the Department of Media Studies at the University of Basel. As part of the SNSF-funded research project on interactive documentary she conducts research on the documentary strategies in interactive documentary. Her dissertation project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Ute Holl.
Her research interests include documentary theory, digital platforms and production practices. With a background in European Ethnology her interests also include ethnographic research, media and digital anthropology, visual ethnography and queer methodologies.
She is a member of the Digital Anthropology Lab at the University of Tübingen and the DFG-network Camera Studies.
