Biography
Graduated in History and International Law from the University of Zurich, Nicolas Schulthess worked as Research Manager in the Grants Office of ETH and University of Zurich. From 2017-2019 Nicolas Schulthess was a Program Manager in the Management Cabinet of the Institute of Photonic Sciences in Barcelona, where he lead the compliance program for US funding agencies and was responsible for institution-wide developments in research management.
In 2017, Nicolas Schulthess was elected as member of the board of The National Council of University Research Administrators‘ International Region and since 2018 he is member of NCURA’s Select Committee on Global Affairs. 2017-2018 he was the head of the sustainability group of BESPRAC – The Voice of Research Administrators, building a network of administrative excellence.
He joined the HSLU Grants Office in July 2019 as Senior Advisor. Since November 2019 he is Head of the Research Unit
