Biography

Curdin Derungs has been working as a lecturer in Data Science at the Lucerne School of Computer Science since summer 2024. Data tells stories about the past and possible futures. The joy of deciphering and visualizing these stories - with the help of statistics, machine learning and visualization - has accompanied Curdin for more than ten years.

Curdin Derungs holds a DAS in applied statistics from ETH Zurich with a focus on time series analysis and deep learning (2019). He holds a PhD in Natural Sciences from the University of Zurich with a specialization in NLP and spatial analysis (2013). In 2008, Curdin Derungs graduated in Geography at the University of Zurich and in Atmospheric Physics at ETH Zurich.
