Biography
Dominik Burkhalter aka Berlin Lama, drummer and composer from Switzerland, is one of the most versatile and sought after drummers in Europe. Being from a younger generation, he's not only a jazz drummer by heart and attitude but also a modernist to the core - playing breakbeats and grooves with a precision that rivals Swiss clockworks. Burkhalter excessively pushes a musical style that defies any categorization except that it's beyond jazz, intelligent and powerful.
In early 2017 he startet a new chapter in he's musical work with ‚Berlin Lama‘. It’s a ‚Producer Project‘, where he does track for himself or collaborates with other artist. There is 1 EP out ‚Ego‘ followed by the Masterwork ‚80 BMX‘ released in 2018.
Burkhalter has his own Studio, where he records Drums and produces and mixes for selected Artists.
He's a touring drummer and producer for one of the biggest pop acts of Switzerland: BLIGG. His also a regular with Band and Artists like: Luca Hänni, SEVEN, Grand Pianoramax, Matthieu Michel, Thierry Lang, aso.

As a professor, Dominik Burkhalter teaches rhythm and drums at the University of Arts and Music in Lucerne, Switzerland. As a Sideman he toured and recorded with countless bands and musicians from the Europe jazz and pop scene.
