Biography

Juergen Wassner received a master degree in electrical engineering from Technical University of Dresden. For his work on low-power digital VLSI design he earned a PhD from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. He worked as system engineer for Silicon Valley Group Inc., and R&D engineer and project leader in the telecommunication industry, before joining Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2007.

As Professor in Edge Computing he enjoys teaching his students the wonders of digital design and signal processing, and also the realization of leading-edge communication systems for avionics, rail freight and other applications.
