Biography
Monika Gold studied Graphic Design at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Before setting up her own business, she worked as a visual designer at graphic design studios in Zurich, Baden and Paris. Her works have won awards in several competitions. She has taught visual design for over 20 years.
She finished her second study – cultural studies (Theory of Design and Art) – at ZHdK in 2001. Throughout her teaching career as well as in her final thesis in her theoretical studies, she has done research in learning methods in the field of design. Another main focus of her work is international exchanges, exhibitions and study trips with lecturers especially in Eastern Europe. Since 2010, she has been the Head of the Bachelor Programme in Graphic Design and lecturer at the Lucerne School of Art and Design.
