The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts endorses the Federal Council's statement condemning the attack of the Russian Government on Ukraine in the strongest possible terms and stating that it is unacceptable from the perspective of international law, politics, and morality and will, therefore, be subject to sanctions.
The short-, medium-, and longer-term consequences for international security and cooperation are difficult to foresee at this time. The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is very concerned about the lives of the people in Ukraine. Like swissuniversities, it calls on European governments to take action to protect the lives and work of Ukrainian university staff, students, researchers and civil society actors, as well as the entire Ukrainian population. Swiss universities will do everything in their power to support Ukrainian universities in this difficult situation.
