As a specialisation with two main subjects, the programme comprises instrumental tuition and instruction in Conducting. Students develop basic skills in conducting and elementary harmony and practice their instrument in preparation for a professional career in music. Supported by an accompanist or a wind ensemble, students have ample opportunity to develop a repertoire and to discuss subject-specific topics during class instruction.
