The Department of Computer Science at Lucerne School of Applied Sciences and Arts officially began operations in September 2016. The establishment of degree programmes, continuing education, research and services was supported by various sponsors.
At the Zug-Rotkreuz campus, the Lucerne School of Applied Sciences and Arts brings together all IT courses under one roof. This bundling is unique in the Swiss university of applied sciences landscape and is an optimal prerequisite for counteracting the shortage of specialists. Thanks to the merger, synergies can be exploited and interdisciplinary cooperation strengthened.
