In the first step of the development of this methodology, an analysis of the empirical data of electrical consumption is required. Subsequently, dynamic simulations to analyze the electrical consumption in the buildings are performed.
The work refers to the term "fingerprint” as the electrical demand of the building. The fingerprint automatically extracts, a set of statistical parameters of electrical consumption in buildings from a time series. The fingerprint is completed by building-specific information, like building type, date of construction, consumption pattern and the existence / absence of specific systems.
