Biography
She holds a Magistra Artium in Art History. In the 1990s, she started and managed an architecture office and a furniture company in Berlin. Currently, she conducts research in design, theory and practice: research through design. Since 2011, Ute has been working on her PhD Thesis, Multisensorisches Design als Gesundheitsressource – Individualisierbare und Stressregulierende Räume` Ein systemischer Designansatz, der Design mit Medizin und Neurowissenschaften verbindet [Multi-Sensory Design as a Health Resource - Customizable and Stress -regulating Räume`: A Systemic Approach to Design , the Design with Medicine and Neuroscience Connects], at the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK). As a reseacher at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Switzerland, her interests include design and medicine, design and health, system theory, and participatory processes.
