Biography
Heinrich Manz holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and worked during twenty years at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Material Testing and Research (Empa) in Dübendorf. He was a senior scientist and lecturer in the ETH domain and the head of a research group in the Building Physics Lab at Empa. He has published more than 130 conference papers, articles in international journals and scientific reports and has been teaching building physics to engineers and architects for more than twenty years at several Universities of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, ETH Zurich and the University of Malta in Msida, Malta. He is also a consultant of manufacturers of building materials, building components and façades as well as engineers and architects in the private sector. Since 2010 he is a fulltime lecturer at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).
