Back and lower back pain is increasingly becoming a social and financial problem. Mostly these pains are caused by posture or disc problems. Various analyses of the spinal column and intervertebral discs of astronauts clearly show that changes in intervertebral discs depend on their stress.
From load data recorded from healthy people on earth and also from astronauts on the International Space Station ISS, movement patterns are to be analysed and simulated in a bioreactor. For this purpose, the bioreactor designed by the Institute of Medical Technology especially for experiments under simulated weightlessness has to be adapted.
