The stationary language assistant CARU connects people in everyday life as well as in emergency situations. CARU facilitates interaction between all participants. It makes the living space more intelligent by pointing out irregularities. For older people this means a higher degree of social integration, for carers and relatives a reduction of stress.
The iHomeLab develops and tests functional extensions in collaboration with the project partners and researches aspects of networking with systems from the care and emergency call environment as well as the expansion of CARU's communication possibilities.
CARU also provides relevant information about the person's behaviour, as it monitors room parameters and learns the normal routine from them. This leads to greater autonomy for the elderly person.
