The MScRE is the highest degree in the real estate sector and in Switzerland is only offered at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The work-study degree programme is demanding and calls for a consistently high level of commitment. The effort is worthwhile: on 17 May 2018 two students attending the MScRE received the SFP Award 2018, a renowned award for outstanding achievement in the real estate sector: Ms. Sadaf Pierre Francois Stutterheim and Mr. Timo Hänni are delighted to have received a glass sculpture and the foundation prize.
Ms. Stutterheim has consistently achieved outstanding, above-average academic grades on the MScRE and ranks amongst the best students. After studying architecture at Uttar Pradesh Technical University (India) and completing numerous professional sojourns abroad in the UK, Germany and Spain, the young mother lives in Switzerland. She has taught at universities on several occasions and has already had several academic papers published. She is already in receipt of a special award: Ms. Stutterheim is a scholarship holder and lifetime Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
Mr. Hänni is also distinguished by outstanding and far above-average academic achievements on the MScRE. After completing his bachelor's degree in business administration at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), he switched to the MScRE programme. At the same time, he began a highly promising career with a traineeship at Valiant Bank AG, as a result of which he accepted a permanent position while still studying. Mr. Hänni is currently employed by VZ VermögensZentrum AG on a part-time (60% FTE) basis. He will be taking a special step in August 2018 by participating in the demanding Dual Degree Programme with Hong Kong's renowned Lingnan University (top 100 in Asia): after one semester, he will have gained the prestigious MSc in International Banking and Finance from Lingnan University.
