The demand for sound training in the real estate sector continues unabated: 35 students are starting the internationally recognised Master of Science in Real Estate (MScRE) in September. The MScRE is the highest degree in the real estate sector and in Switzerland is only offered at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
Complementing the two-year course are a number of international study visits: every semester finds the students spending an "International Week" in a variety of internationally interesting real estate markets, with the quality of the study visit ensured and supervised by the host university. One of these prestigious institutions is the Politecnico di Milano, a leading European university. The Politecnico di Milano and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts complement each other perfectly in terms of their training focal points: they will conduct the annual intensive week jointly in the autumn. The International Week includes lectures on real estate economics, interdisciplinary workshops and visits to selected neighbourhood and project developments.
All this finds the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts living up to its claim of providing a sound, internationally recognised master's degree in the real estate sector. "We are delighted to have secured another internationally recognised partner for the real estate master's programme," says Prof Dr Michael Trübestein, the head of the programme. Further international collaborations are in preparation.
