The MScRE is the highest degree in the real estate sector and in Switzerland is only offered at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The programme places great importance on a well-founded understanding of a range of real estate markets – so insights from markets outside Switzerland can provide useful inspiration and point up investment opportunities.
That is why the two-year study programme is rounded out perfectly by several international study visits:
Starting in August 2018 selected students from the MSc in Real Estate will participate in a dual degree programme involving Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Within one semester in Hong Kong, students acquire sufficient qualifications to obtain an MSc in International Banking and Finance from Hong Kong in addition to their degree at the Lucerne School of Business.
Moreover, every semester finds the students spending an "International Week" in a variety of internationally interesting real estate markets. The second semester excursions abroad now include a study visit to Vienna in cooperation with the FHWien der WKW university of applied sciences. The International Week includes lectures on real estate economics, interdisciplinary workshops and visits to selected neighbourhood and project developments. The lectures are tailored to the contents of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts or complement them in a focused way.
All this finds the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts living up to its claim of providing a sound, internationally recognised master's degree in the real estate sector.
