Course content
This modular specialist course teaches the fundamentals of ESG reporting. Based on case studies and best-practice examples, it discusses proven approaches for companies wishing to develop their own ESG reporting. Participants learn to use the necessary tools to analyse and evaluate ESG factors and to develop suitable indicators for their ESG reporting. They will gain an overview of key regulatory requirements and learn to report on ESC topics according to the relevant frameworks and in a stakeholder-oriented way.
Certificate awarded
You will obtain a certificate of participation from the Lucerne School of Business/FHZ.
Target group
We designed this continuing and executive education programme with specialists and members of senior management in mind who work in sustainability controlling and reporting or aim to enter the field, as well as sustainability officers, finance experts, controllers, accounting and compliance specialists, financial auditors and management consultants. The course is particularly ideal for companies in the early stages of their ESG reporting project.

Course objectives
You will learn the fundamentals of sustainability reporting and the relevant regulations in Switzerland. You will acquire the skills to build ESG data management. You will be introduced to instruments to analyse and report ESG data.
Admission criteria
This specialist course is for anyone tasked with building or further developing ESG reporting. No prior knowledge of sustainability reporting is required. If you have questions about admission to the course or need additional information, please contact Dr Ute Laun or Timo Heroth.
Structure and start of the course
The specialist course is made up of three modules that can be attended in any order. Each module comprises two half-days:
- ESG regulation for Swiss companies
Regulatory requirements and instruments for corporate reporting: real-life practical examples.

Stakeholder-oriented ESG reporting: drivers and challenges for companies

The language of instruction is German. The course is also available in English upon request. We can also tailor the course specifically to your organisation.
