Biography
Dr. oec. HSG Matthias Daniel Aepli studied Business Administration with a major in Finance at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). At the University of St. Gallen (HSG) he completed the Master of Arts in Banking and Finance (M.A. HSG) and obtained his doctorate (Ph.D. HSG) with his thesis in quantitative finance on portfolio risk forecasting using multivariate dynamic copula models. At the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), he obtained the certificate in university didactics.
Matthias Daniel Aepli is the author of various publications in the fields of real estate management, investment strategies, asset management, corporate financial management and risk management. Since 2012, he has been a lecturer in Financial Management, Risk Management and Real Estate Management at the Institute of Financial Services Zug (IFZ) of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). In addition to his academic activities, he is active as an entrepreneur and board member.
