Overview
In this cooperation project together with Swiss Economics, Zurich, we are analysing the resource and energy consumption of DLT solutions (blockchain). The aim of the project is to create a database as well as a methodology for the environmental assessment of DLT solutions. In this context, alternative database systems will also be compared. In another work package, the legal and regulatory framework with regard to environmental protection will be analysed. Best practices and recommendations for legal requirements for DLT solutions will be developed so that the aspects of sustainability and environmental protection are taken into account in the development of DLT solutions.
