Overview
The Schwyz University of Teacher Education (PHSZ) has developed an educational escape room to teach computer science concepts to students in 7th grade. Groups of players have one hour to succeed in their mission that is played inside a richly decorated physical room. To solve riddles, they need to apply their knowledge of computer science. Learning how to collaborate under time pressure is an additional skill needed to beat the the escape room.
The project is led by the Stiftungsprofessur Informatikdidaktik S1 which is houses at the PHSZ and is a collaboration with Lucerne University of Teacher Education and the School of Computer Science and Information Technology of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
