Overview
This project "Digital 3D Part Reconstruction and Possible Applications of Deep Learning" aims to develop an experimental setup that enables high-resolution, cost-effective, and robust 3D reconstruction of industrial parts. Combinations of different sensors such as camera, laser and projection methods will be evaluated. The computational unit is to be realized on a system-on-a-chip (SoC) efficiently and cheaply. The high-resolution three-dimensional reconstruction of a component enables the detection of production defects and increases the efficiency in automated quality control.
