Overview
We want to enable people to communicate their thoughts, wishes and needs as long and as good as possible by offering them new ways of communication like alternative and augmentative communica-tion, eye-gaze technology or smart bracelets where a virtual squeeze could be sent over distance. By the use of AR/VR we want to bring joy of visiting beloved places or taking part in spiritual events. Integrating this solutions in the We+Care platform offers new ways of collaboration between formal and informal caregivers and volunteers, striving to offer the best quality of life at the end of life.
Providing an open development environment has the rare potential to ignite a behavioural
change of the tabooed dying process. Thanks to the “Quality of Life at the End of Life” project and the We+Care platform, ageing innovators with advanced technology partners are redefining the collaborative experience of informal and formal care groups in the last months of a lifetime. That will lead to high leverage potentials in terms of satisfying needs, burden, time and costs for care recipients, caregivers, palliative care providers, public body and the society as a whole.
