Overview
As commissioned by the implementation agreement "4E - Efficient Electrical End-Use Equipment" of the International Energy Agency, iHomeLab is investigating the influence of the "Internet of Things" (IoT) on the energy consumption of an estimated 200* networked everyday devices per person in the industrialised countries in 2020. We are simultaneously putting together proposals on how this can be minimised. The contract for the study was given to iHomeLab because it has the relevant expertise in sensor networks, energy monitoring and the architecture on Internet of Things. The participating contracting countries are: USA, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, UK, Austria and Switzerland. *Source Cisco
