We are delighted that you wish to enrol on continuing or executive education program at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. The following information is intended to faciliate your application.

In order to start the application process, you will need a SWITCH edu ID.
The SWITCH edu ID is a permanent digital identity used to access services associated with Swiss university landscape.
If you do not have a SWITCH edu ID, you can register in three simple steps during the application process. To register, please use a personal email address that is not being used by multiple people.
- Enter your first name, surname, email address and password.
- After you have accepted the terms of service, a user account is created. You then get a confirmation email.
- Click on the confirmation link in the email to activate your account.
Application process
Please complete your application within the next 30 days. After this period, your information will be deleted.
Please read our final provisions before you finish the registration process. You will not be able to change your information once you have finalized the process by clicking "Definite application".
Please study the final provisions before submitting your definitive application. You will not be able to change your information after selecting "Definitive application".
Data transmission
A secure connection featuring SSL encryption is automatically invoked when using online registration. Information communicated to us by email, on the other hand, is transmitted unencrypted. It might be viewed and modified by third parties. The transmission of confidential or personal information by email is at the sender's risk.
Required information and documents
Swiss student identification number
You will only need this if you wish to sign up for a MAS program.
When they first enroll at a Swiss university-level institution, each person is assigned a personal student identification number. Typically, you can find this eight-digit identification number (e.g., 15-458-791) on a yellow sticker on the original of your university qualification certificate. If you do not have a student identification number, you can state this in the application process.
Swiss social security number
If you live or work in Switzerland, you can find your social security number (756…) on your unemployment or health insurance card.
JPG passport photo
We will need your passport (portrait) photo to make your student identification card. The photo must not show any other persons or foreign objects.
The photo must be sharp and high-contrast. Your face must be clearly visible. The photo must not show any other persons and have a neutral backdrop (file format: *.jpg or *.jpeg, aspect ratio: 3:4 portrait).

Required File Formats
During the application process, you will be asked to provide documents. They must be uploaded online, as PDF files. If one or more of your documents consists of multiple separate PDF files, please upload them consecutively. The application will automatically merge them into a single document. Caution: If you delete one of these documents, the entire composite file will be deleted.
Creating PDF Files
Scan your paper documents and save them as PDF files. Most printer/scanners support PDF as a target format.
Open electronic documents (e.g., Word, Excel or PowerPoint files) and “save as” a .pdf file.
