Philosophy of the degree programme

We teach you economic expertise and data science. Data science can be used to gain economically valuable insights from data. Experience shows that data science is often the decisive advantage for graduates on the labour market. In the degree programme, we start from scratch in data science and no prior knowledge is required. Students use artificial intelligence for programming, so it's relatively easy. We learn the core skills of economics and data science on the degree programme using practical applications from the mobility industry.

Whether self-driving vehicles, electromobility or dynamic pricing with the help of data science, mobility reflects the challenges of the modern economy.

Using psychology to shed light on human behaviour in business and working life, bringing the human factor to bear in business and data science.

Sustainable action is a must everywhere. Whether climate change or intelligent environmental protection, learn about the latest findings on sustainability.

The first graduates of the (relatively new) degree programme are working for consulting firms, cities, cantons, start-ups, mobility offices, aviation and railway companies.

Admission
TThe degree programme is generally aimed at people with a vocational baccalaureate (all disciplines), a baccalaureate from a grammar school, a specialised baccalaureate or a diploma from a higher technical college. Commencement of studies

The 2025/26 academic year begins on 8 September 2025 with a compulsory introductory week. The official start of the semester is on 15 Septembre 2025 (calendar week 38).
